Alabama senator Jeff Sessions grilled U.S. Attorney General Nominee Loretta Lynch during her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday and focused his questions on the president’s executive action on immigration. ​Lynch took issue with Sessions’ characterization of the president’s executive action on immigration as an “executive amnesty,” and did not answer whether she would pursue employers who favor job applications from citizens over those from illegal immigrants.
