Varney: The ‘Greens’ Cannot Sell Their Climate Change Plan Because Voters Won’t Pay More for Gas and Electricity

‘They cannot sell the fix for climate change which the United Nations is recommending’

EXCERPT:

VARNEY: "The greens have a problem here. They cannot sell the fix for climate change which the United Nations is recommending. The greens have two problems here. Number one, voters are not prepared to pay more for fuel, gas, electricity, they’re not prepared to pay more now to fix a problem that may be serious 80, 90 years away. They’re not prepared to pay that. The Paris climate accord wanted us, the Western world, America, Europe, pay more now. That is not going to work. They’re not prepared to accept it. French workers went on strike. They’re rioting in the streets. They will not pay more for climate change. They’re already paying 7 bucks a gallon for gasoline."
