Rubio: Yes It Would Be a Mistake for Trump to Pardon Manafort

TAPPER: "Gates has called for the president to pardon his former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, part of the Mueller investigation not the southern district of New York. Would that be a mistake?"
RUBIO: "Yes, and I would strongly counsel against it. I don’t think that, in my view, the presidential pardon power was not created for these sorts of purposes. I just think it would be the wrong thing to do. I think it would be a huge political mistake as well. I hope that doesn’t happen. That would be my position on it."
