Robert De Niro Returns to SNL to Play Mueller Lurking in Eric Trump’s Closet in Cold Open (Mediaite)

Saturday Night Live started off their latest show with a cold open that had Robert Mueller lurking in a Trump Tower closet.

“There’s something in my closet,” SNL’s Eric Trump (Alex Moffatt)  says to his brother Donald Trump Jr — as played by Mikey Day   — who is reading him a bedtime story.  

“That’s just the cheap steel dad uses to build his towers,” Trump Jr. tells his brother. “Look, buddy, nothing in the closet.”

He then opens the closet to find Mueller there.

“See, no one’s in your closet,” Trump Jr. says while doom and gloom music plays.
