ABDUL-JABBAR: "That Islam is a religion of peace. Islam does not tolerate wanton murder, and Muslims are absolutely part of contesting this. I was so happy to see in France where they rewarded the young man who helped the people in the Jewish grocery store. He saved some lives and enabled the police to apprehend and kill the [indecipherable]. They gave him citizenship within a week because he was doing what he was supposed to be doing. There was a Muslim police officer who was killed confronting these people. People have to understand that there are good Muslims that are on the side of what we understand to be rule of law and just common sense and decency."
