Sebelius Doesn’t ‘Work for’ Her Critics: Rep. Schweikert Responds

‘Actually, she works for the American people just as I do’

SCHWEIKERT: “Actually she works for the American people just as I do. And let's face it, in that one comment you understand the blind loyalty to President Obama and, let’s face it, that blind loyalty to the politics of this Administration, not to actually trying to do what's right for the American people.’
CARLSON: “I found it interesting that when she responded to some of the questions in your state yesterday, she kept blaming the volume of the number of people trying to get online. Do you, do you buy that? I thought they debunked that on Capitol Hill yesterday when they were  testifying.”
SCHWEIKERT: “Well obviously the secretary is a couple days behind on the talking points because the Administration has moved away from that. Remember, that was the talking point two or three days ago as a running excuse until that was exposed that that wasn't true. The secretary just hasn't gotten that talking point's memo yet.”
CARLSON: “How upset are you that, although I’m sure you’re glad that she came to your state, but how upset are you that she came to an ObamaCare website call center in Phoenix instead of being on Capitol Hill to testify. Remember, the excuse given back then was that she was too busy, there were other things on her schedule.”
SCHWEIKERT: “Well, think about this. This Administration and Secretary Sebelius have had this whole world of it’s a marketing game. Remember, this is politics all the time out of this Administration. This is one of the few tests where they actually have to provide something, they have to produce something. And that’s collapsed around them. They’re all the sudden growing up and realizing, ’Hey, politics actually isn't policy.’ And yet she comes to my state. She does the pitch but isn't willing to meet in front of members of Congress and explain to us what the solution is going to be.”
CARLSON: “I thought it was ironic that she was visiting call centers because I mean isn’t the whole discussion in the last couple of weeks about the website? I mean the call centers apparently don’t work either. But did you find that ironic?”
SCHWEIKERT: “Oh Gretchen, the irony just keeps on piling on and piling on. And wait until the discussion about a month from now when we start to find out that the real, the real problem isn't the websites, isn’t the upfront stuff, it’s how this is going to destroy the insurance market, the health coverage in this country and you are starting to see the number of Americans who are getting the notices this week and next week about losing their coverage.”
CARLSON: “Yep, we’re gonna be talking about that with our panel.”
SCHWEIKERT: “They were promised by this president that wouldn’t happen.”
