Mikie Sherrill: I Won’t Be Voting for Nancy Pelosi, It Is Important We Move Forward with New Leadership

‘I have been talking about how important it is we have new leadership in Congress’

EXCERPT:

MITCHELL: "One of the things that you are both going to face is what to do about another woman who has broken the glass ceiling to have been the speaker in 2006 and of course the Nancy Pelosi issue. Mikie, what are you going to do about Nancy Pelosi when you guys caucus, when you first have -- at first caucus."
SHERRILL: "Well you know, I have been talking about how important it is we have new leadership in Congress right now. And so I won’t be voting for Nancy Pelosi. But she has been a very effective speaker to this point. I do think it is important we move forward with new leadership. But quite frankly, that's not what people in New Jersey are talking about as much as they are talking about how excited they are that we flipped the House to see the opportunities with health care and tax reform and infrastructure spending."
