Alexandra Wilkes: Republicans Have a Strong Argument to Make with Young People’ in the Closing Days of the Election

‘For Republicans, the strongest argument we can make is the strong job economy that’s out there now’

RUSH EXCERPT:

WILKES: “I think it’s important to put early voting numbers and contacts. While millennial’s are voting in greater proportion compared to the proportion in 2014, early voting is more popular than it was in 2014. It’s an older concept. We also know that millennial’s are still being outpaced by their older counterparts. I don’t know if were going to exactly know how this number shakeout come Election Day, particularly because millennial’s are more likely to be undecided or independent with no party affiliation than older voters. It’s more difficult to predict where it will come down. For Republicans, the strongest argument we can make is the strong job economy that’s out there now. This is a generation that grew up during tough times. We saw our parents lose their jobs. We dealt with record unemployment for the last decade now, now that has finally turned around. Republicans to have a strong argument to make with young people.”
