Russell Brand Compares Fox News to Paris Terrorists

‘What she’s doing, whilst it’s obviously not as violent or as gory or as terrible, it’s equally damaging’

Russell Brand Compares Fox News toCharlie Hebdo Terrorists (Mediaite)

Russell Brand’s ongoing war with Fox News began when he used a clip of host Jeanine Pirroto argue that the country’s most popular cable news network is a “fanatical terrorist propagandist organization” that’s “more dangerous than ISIS.” Following the latest attacks on Charlie Hebdo in Paris, Brand is at it again, calling Fox’s coverage of the events as “damaging” as the events themselves.

After playing a clip of Pirro’s latest call for war against racial Islam, Brand said, “That’s the same energy as the murders: Judgement, hate, certainty in your own position, condemnation, the language of war.” Rather than saying “only Muslims” can stop this violence, Brand asked, “could it be all humankind together?” Identifying Pirro as “at least a bit African-American,” Brand said she might want to refrain from shouting about “them.”
