Darrell Issa on Nikki Haley: ‘We Really Owe Her a Debt of Gratitude for Making that Turn Around in Our Policy’

‘Two years is a long time to work at the level she has been working at’

EXCERPT:

SCOTT: "A big surprise to all of us yesterday as Ambassador Nikki Haley announced her resignation as ambassador to the U.N. With reaction California Congressman Darrell Issa. He sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. I’m guessing you were as surprised as anyone that she decided to walk away from that job."
ISSA: "Well I think surprised is a common word we’re using. But let's put it this way, two years of hard charging, go in there as she said body armor. Let our friends know we’re back to being with them and our foes know we’re looking at monitoring and going to hold them accountable is something she has done and she's announcing that after the election at the president’s timetable she is looking for a successor. Two years is a long time to work at the level she has been working at. And we really owe her a debt of gratitude for making that turn around in our policy."
