‘I Feel Terrible’: Obama Calls Military Couple to Apologize for Wedding Snafu (Mediaite)

After his Hawaii golf game forced a military couple of move the location of their wedding ceremonywith less than 24 hours notice, President Barack Obama called them to personally apologize. And CNN has the video.

“Listen. Congratulations on your wedding. I feel terrible. Nobody told us,” Obama can be heard telling Army Captains Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. as they stand at the altar.

“If they had just mentioned that they were going to have a wedding on the 16th hole, we would have skipped the 16th hole,” he added. “I hope the wedding went OK anyway.”
