Thousands Rally in Cleveland as Part of ‘Sea of Blue’ To Support Police Officers

‘Police officers will take a bullet if need be to sacrifice their lives — ‘

Organizers hope Sea of Blue is start of national movement (WKYC)

CLEVELAND -- They called it the Sea of Blue and that's exactly what it was as thousands packed downtown Saturday to rally for police officers.

They covered Public Square as supporters were not only rallying for the officers killed in the line of duty, but every officer and even for people killed at the hands of officers.

"I see signs out here that say blue lives matter and you know what they are absolutely right," said WTAM host Bob Frantz. "I have also seen signs that say black lives matter and you know what they are absolutely right."

After rallying at Public Square the group walked to the Peace Officers Memorial. There were no chants, no slogans, just a silent march.
