MSNBC’s Figliuzzi: ‘If We Had the Right People in Congress’ We’d Be Holding Hearings on Removing Trump

‘We would be getting cabinet members in a room alone and asking them whether or not he can fulfill his duties’

EXCERPT:

FIGLIUZZI: “So just to echo what you're saying, 25 years in the federal government, 25 years in the FBI, lots of gallows humor and lots of joking. Never once did anyone ever joke or mention the 25th Amendment involving the President or wiring up against the President, even in jest. And I have to tell you something first. That’s the first time I’ve heard the full clip from Mike Pompeo. He specifically mentioned the FBI. As somebody that, as a team that needs to fulfill the mission of the President, that is not the role of the FBI. And on a larger scale, as you’re saying, when it comes to the 25th Amendment, if you think the President is unable to fulfill his duties and powers, you’re on team America. Whether or not that’s part of the mission of the President. So, yes, indeed if the right people were in charge of Congress, we would be having hearings. We would be getting cabinet members in a room alone and asking them whether or not he can fulfill his duties. And that’s not going to happen under this Congress."
