On Friday night, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) was pressed on the abuse allegations made against him at a televised debate.

One of the moderators pointed to a statistic that showed 40% of Minnesota voters consider the allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan this summer and a woman named Amy Alexander back in 2006 to be “a factor” in the race for Attorney General against Republican opponent Doug Wardlow.

Ellison told the moderators that Alexander was “harassing” him and his staff and placed a restraining order against her and that a judge ordered her to “stop making falsehoods” against him.
