Chris Wallace on Kavanaugh: I Think This Is an Entirely Political Process, Not a Legal Process

‘The greatest, the greatest hope would be to blow up the nomination and if not that, at least fire up the base’

EXCERPT:

WALLACE: "We heard it yesterday go after Brett Kavanaugh not as a nonpartisan judge but as a Republican political operative. Talking about the fact that he worked in the Starr investigation of Bill Clinton, hat he was there in 2000 in Florida with the hanging chads. And he worked in the Bush White House. And finally just the fact that he is the appointee of Donald Trump. You heard Dick Durbin say yesterday you are his man. And for a lot of Democrats that’s enough. I think this is an entirely political process, it's not a legal process. There are two things they’re trying to do. At the greatest, the greatest hope would be to blow up the nomination and if not that, at least fire up the base and say this is why we need a Republican Congress, so this doesn’t happen again."
