Stuart Varney: ‘Venezuela Is a Good Example of What We Should Not Be Doing’

‘Venezuela is the Somalia of Latin America’

EXCERPT:

VARNEY: "It will not work. It will not work. Venezuela is now what I would call a wheelbarrow economy. In other words, you have to fill a wheelbarrow full of currency to buy anything. That is how bad inflation has become. So this week they have this new plan in place, issuing a new currency. This is ridiculous. All they’re doing is taking five zeros off the end of the old currency and turning it into a new currency. Instead of 6 million Bolivars to the dollar, they will lop off the last five zeros and make it 60 bolivars to the dollar, stronger Bolivars to the dollar. That's not going to work."
