Attkisson: Media Should Look at Evidence Before Claiming Cops Motivated by Race

‘As a journalist reporting it, you have to be careful to understand what the evidence says and doesn’t say’

“Maybe I'm alone in thinking this. There is a difference between police officers who may have made really bad mistakes and prove that they made those mistakes because they're racially motivated. And in both of the cases maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen evidence of a pattern on the part of the police officer who is accused. Evidence that they shouted racial slurs, that they had some sort of thing we can hang on to that proves why -- that they did what they did, or that the mistakes that have made are because of that."
