Jason Chaffetz on Cohen Tape: ‘What Happened to Attorney-Client Privilege?’

‘I think it’s problematic that Cohen hired Lanny Davis’

EXCERPT:

CHAFFETZ: "I do think it’s problematic that Cohen hired Lanny Davis. I mean, this is a Democratic operative who is known as a pitbull who wants to go after Republicans and that doesn’t make a lot of sense. But Cohen, in my own personal opinion, I think he's going to be disbarred and I don’t think he'll have the credibility if he ever does hit the witness stand. He has got a real-life legal problems in that he took millions of dollars for lobbying without registering as a lobbyist and try to play off the Trump name and uses fake business cards, I’m told, to go after and you know, solicit these millions of dollars in -- in lobbying money to try to persuade a president, something that never happened. But he tried to do it and play off the president’s name. I think there are some unknowns as to what other tapes and stuff that he has. But what happens to attorney-client privilege? I mean, the context of everything here is not put into place."
