Marc Short: We Hope the Immigration Bill Will Pass

‘We believe the bill was crafted with help from the White House’

EXCERPT:

SMITH: "OK. So we've got, as far as moving on to immigration, busy day, obviously a lot to get to here. The House is expected to vote this afternoon on an immigration bill. Does this go anywhere, Marc?"
SHORT: "Well we certainly hope so. We believe that this bill was crafted with help from the White House. It does the things we've asked for, along the four pillars, securing the border, providing $25 billion to build the wall. It also provides we think a very humane resolution to the DACA situation and it also begins to eliminate the diversity lottery program. And provides some tightening of these loopholes that we said, create many of the problems on the border right now, among separation of children and parents."
