‘The View’ Reacts to SCOTUS Travel Ban Ruling: ‘We’re Not Surprised, We’re Disappointed’ (Mediaite)

The View’s hosts had mixed reactions to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Donald Trump‘s travel ban on a handful of Muslim-majority countries (plus North Korea and Venezuela), ranging from disillusionment to frustration to the announcement Tuesday.

Meghan McCain wasn’t shocked, and suggested most Americans wouldn’t mind the vetting of traveler such as Yemenis who wish to enter the U.S.

“I think we should be intellectually honest about what’s going on because my understanding was if you are coming from say, Yemen, that you would be paused and vetted at the airport before you come into the country, which I think most Americans probably wouldn’t have a problem with,” she told her panel. “Let’s stop being surprised by President Trump’s hard line immigration. It’s what he ran on.”
