GINGRICH: "Until they actually walk in the room that day, don’t assume it will happen. I can imagine at breakfast that morning the whole thing blowing up. ... The president himself said yesterday it won’t be one magic meeting and everything is solved. But I think the world is grateful that we are talking rather than getting ready to go to war. And I think that the president wants it to work if he possibly can."

SMITH: "That was former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich telling our own Maria Bartiromo when it comes to the North Korean summit it's not happening until it's actually happening. However all signs are indicating the meeting will be happening next Tuesday. Let’s bring in Senator John Barrasso member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Senator, great to have you in studio this morning."
BARRASSO: "Thanks for having me."
SMITH: "Yeah, nice to see you. It's hard to believe that we’re a week out. Do you think this is actually going to happen?"
BARRASSO: "Well I do. And I'll tell you, credit to President Trump. He has replaced the policy of weakness with a policy of strength for the United States in his 16 months in office. And around the world leaders whether it's Kim Jong-un, whether it's Vladimir Putin, they respect strength, they can smell weakness. The president is doing the right thing and I congratulate him."
