Adrienne Elrod: Trump’s Trying to Taking Away a Woman’s Right to Choose

ELROD: "Look, President Trump is certainly delivering red meat to his base which is very common, we're about five months away for midterm elections. I also want to point out the fact he joked around maybe people shouldn’t vote in 2018 versus 2016. That was another little off the script joke he made last night. If you want to say President Trump is trying to take away a woman’s right to choose, which is something that he campaigned promise if you want to call it that, that he iterated time and time again during the last election cycle. That is what he's trying to do but it is turning off a lot of women voters, that's why you're seening women are coming out in droves in some of these special elections. Women simply want to make sure we protect the right to choose. Planned Parenthood happens to be one of the most popular organizations especially in rural America where access to healthcare for women is limited. So I'm not sure this is a tactic that will work."
