Democratic Senator: Voters Don’t Want to Hear About Trump, Russia All the Time

‘They’re not asking me about Russian bots, okay?’

Democratic Senator: Voters Don’t Want to Hear About Trump, Russia All the Time (The Washington Free Beacon)

Democratic Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar suggested Tuesday that her party should spend less time talking about President Donald Trump and Russian bots, and more time focusing on issues voters actually care about.

Klobuchar said at the Center for American Progress Ideas Conference that while anti-Trump enthusiasm could help fuel Democratic victories and the party needed to keep attacking Trump, "we need to move forward, and the way you move forward is emphasizing these economic issues and how people are getting screwed by all kinds of things."

The senator said that when she toured her state, "they’re not asking me about Russian bots, okay? They’re asking me about soybean exports. I mean, this is a true story."
