W.H. on Sanctuary Cities: Illegal Immigration Is on the Rise Now, It’s a Point of Frustration for the President

SHAH: "I can’t obviously get ahead of the meeting, but the Department of Justice is engaged in certain litigation regarding sanctuary cities in California. We believe that California should help us and all municipalities and states should help the federal government in enforcing federal law, in helping to deport, when appropriate, criminal illegal immigrants, and help stem the tide of illegal immigration in the United States. It’s actually on the rise now, it’s a point of frustration for the President, for the administration. So that will be part of what’s discussed."
