Thursday night in Elkhart, Ind., President Trump unveiled his 2020 re-election campaign slogan:

"Keep America Great"

At a rally for Mike Braun's senatorial campaign, Trump explained, "Because we are doing so well, that in another two years when we start the heavy campaign, 'Make America great again' wouldn't work out too well, right?"

"It is going to be 'Keep America great' because that is exactly where we are headed," he said. "Don't tell everybody, I don't want everybody to know. But, I do like that."

Trump said that unlike other politicians, he does not pay consultants to help with sloganeering.

"You know what I paid for that slogan?" Trump said. "A lot of politicians run and pay for ideas like that. How much did I pay for that? Zippo."

Here's a transcript of his comments:

TRUMP: "You have to work every day between now and November to elect more Republicans so we can continue making America great again. By the way, this is a first for Indiana. Our new slogan for 2020, you know what is? 'Keep America great. Keep America great.' Because we are doing so well, that in another two years when we start the heavy campaign, 'Make America great again' wouldn't work out too well, right? It is going to be 'Keep America great' because that is exactly where we are headed... Don't tell everybody, I don't want everybody to know. But, I do like that. You know what I paid for that slogan? A lot of politicians run and pay for ideas like that. How much did I pay for that? Zippo."
