Piers Morgan has been losing patience by the day over the government shutdown, and on Tuesday night he battled Republican congresswoman Marsha Blackburn over who’s to blame more: President Obama and the Democrats, or Ted Cruz. Morgan argued that Cruz may be looking out a bit more for his political career than the impending disaster for the country, while Blackburn dismissed the idea this fight is at all about personalities.

Morgan told Blackburn that while she and Cruz may have some ideas about how to deal with the country’s long-term fiscal issues, they might end up being “catastrophic” if they’re being pushed due to the “outright selfishness of Ted Cruz and his colleagues.” When Blackburn protested again, Morgan cried, “Oh come off it, Marsha!”
