Judge Napolitano: The Right Thing for Cohen to Plead the Fifth

He will plead the fifth in cases that have nothing to do with Donald Trump or likely criminal charges against him’

EXCERPT:

VARNEY: "Okay, real fast. Very little time left. Cohen will plead the Fifth."
NAPOLITANO: "Michael Cohen, the President's lawyer, right."
VARNEY: "Significance thereof?"
NAPOLITANO: "It’s the right thing for him to do. He will plead the Fifth in civil cases that have nothing to do with Donald Trump or nothing to do with the likely criminal charges against him. He doesn’t know what the government will charge him for. Why give the government more ammunition? But remember, when you plea the Fifth you have to plea it as to everything, the time of day, you can’t answer anything but your name. If he sticks with that, if he has that self-discipline, he will not give the government any ammunition against him."
