Fox News: At Least 2 Memos Comey Gave to Friend to Leak Contained Classified Information

‘When you are doing a prosecution on classified information, it’s important to know whether the individual who has the information understood at that time that it was highly classified or sensitive information’

EXCERPT:

FAULKNER: “Fox News alert. 'The Wall Street Journal' is reporting at least two memos Comey gave to a friend at Columbia University to leak contained classified information. That’s according to people with information about the Department of Justice watchdog. Chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge is live in Washington with the latest. So could James Comey, the former head of the FBI, be facing a prosecution? That's the question now, leaks classified information, Catherine?”
HERRIDGE: “Let me start here with what we know about the classified information that was given to this Columbia Law School professor. Much of this information came from investigators that work for Chuck Grassley. They revealed the seven memos before they were public and they found four contained classified information at at least two different levels. One is a very sensitive level called secret and the other was much lower level, which is called or known as confidential. Based on the math, because the professor said he received four memos, we knew at that time at least one of the memos contained classified information. And we are working to confirm right now what 'The Wall Street Journal' has, which is that two memos given to this professor contained classified information."
