TOOBIN: "Well, there seems to be some disagreement between Michael Cohen and Sean Hannity about whether they ever had a legal relationship. And that is potentially significant because if Sean Hannity is telling the truth there, then their conversations would not be privileged. And any relationship between them would not be privileged. Certainly if Sean Hannity did retain Michael Cohen he should have disclosed that because he’s been a big advocate of Michael Cohen on his television and radio show. That is a matter of journalistic ethics and not a legal issue. But there does seem to be a difference of opinion here about whether there ever was an attorney-client relationship between the two of them."
