Wolf Blitzer: Dems Weren’t Happy with ‘Media Touring Role’ Biden Took After Fiscal Cliff (Mediaite)

The White House announced on Monday that both President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will meet with Congressional leaders to seek a resolution to the government shutdown and an increase in the nation’s debt limit. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer reported that Biden, a key negotiator who helped resolve past standoffs, has been absent from this process because Democrats were not happy with the credit he took for resolving the fiscal cliff crisis in interviews with media personalities.

Over the weekend, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) wondered when the White House would let Biden “out of the witness protection program” to help negotiate an end to the present standoff.
