John Brennan: Donald Trump Is Going To Do What He Can to Protect Mr. Putin

BRENNAN: “The good cop/bad cop proposed sort of approach is not appropriate in this instance. I think Vladimir Putin and the Russian government have to understand that there unanimity within the U.S. Government, within the executive branch as well as legislative branch, that we’re not going to tolerate this type of Russian interference. And when Mr. Putin hears different messages from Mr. Trump that's inconsistent with what I think the instruments of government are doing, they're trying to turn the screws on Russia, I think it gives Mr. Putin a little bit of reassurance that he can continue along this path and Donald Trump is going to do what he can to protect Mr. Putin.”
