MSNBC’s Seitz-Wald: ‘Hillary Clinton Is a Proven Republican Base Motivator’

‘This is all about the Republican base’

EXCERPT:

SEITZ-WALD: "Look, this is all about the Republican base. They need a villain, Barack Obama is gone, you can’t use Nancy Pelosi because we're talking about Senate races here, Hillary Clinton has been a proven Republican base motivator. If you watch Fox News, they’re constantly talking about the Uranium One story or why they need a second special prosecutor to look into alleged bias at the F.B.I. And this is a year when we know the Republican base is a little bit less motivated than Democrats so they’re looking for anything they can find to turn those people out to get them excited about voting in this year’s election. Her approval rating, instead of rebounding as most people do after they stop running for office, has actually gone down. So we’ll see. This is kind of a beta test. This is early on. But if it works, if they get good data back, then we’ll probably see a lot more of Hillary Clinton in Republican ads."
