‘The verdict in the Orlando nightclub trial, has been found not guilty on both counts’

HEMMER: "What a case this was. In the summer of 2016, the brutal murder, a terrorist act on American shores inside that nightclub after midnight that night. The killer went in there, went outside, back to his car to reload and get more weaponry, to find a place inside the Pulse nightclub where he could carry out the murder of 49. Count 1 was aiding and abetting, count 2 was obstruction of justice. Count 1 could have been a penalty or fine of up to 20 years in prison. If death occurred, up to life in prison, according to the statute in Florida. Obstruction of justice could have been a fine or up to 20 years in prison as well. The makeup of the jury, 18, 12 jurors, 6 alternates, 12 of them women, 6 of them men. Not guilty on both counts."
