Ed Markey: ‘There’s Going To Be a Bipartisan Firestorm’ if Trump Fires Mueller

MARKEY: "I think, as Lindsey Graham said and others have already said, there’s going to be a bipartisan firestorm which is going to erupt if Robert Mueller is fired by President Trump. The same thing happened when President Nixon fired Archibald Cox and Elliot Richardson back in 1973. History is repeating itself. If, in fact, this happens, whether we have legislation that’s put in place before the President in fact does something like this or not, it won’t make any difference. There is going to be a constitutional crisis in our country that could very well lead to the end of the Trump presidency."
