HALL: "I think the president wants his administration officials to have his back. And you know, he is always expressing disappointment when Attorney General Sessions recused himself from overseeing the investigations of the Russia allegations, and he’s also been concerned, that he was not acting aggressively enough to defend the president and his administration. Now, on -- on the Session side of the equation, he is trying to look at his own reputation, he's trying to defend the institutions, he's trying to defend the impartiality of -- of the department. So he is looking at it from a different perspective."
