O’Reilly: Maher Right About Islam, Muslim Nations Won’t Confront Terrorism (Mediaite)

Bill O’Reilly sided with Bill Maher tonight in his battle with Ben Affleck over Islam. And while O’Reilly said not very many Muslims are “violent maniacs,” plenty hold rather backwards beliefs.

O’Reilly said that Maher is correct about the “overall effect” of Islam on the world, especially considering that 1) vast majorities in a few Muslim nations support sharia as the law of the land, and 2) “many Muslim nations have not confronted Islamic terrorism” or condemned jihad.

He continued, “Ben Affleck should well understand that he himself would be beheaded in a heartbeat by these ISIS animals.” And so, O’Reilly said, it’s perfectly valid to criticize Islam like Maher did because Muslim nations and moderate followers of Islam refuse to condemn horrible violence.
