CNN anchor John Berman had an incredibly awkward moment on the air Tuesday morning when he used the phrase “any way you slice it” three times during a segment on the Oklahoma beheading.

Berman said, “It’s a sick fascination any way you slice it, and there is a woman dead any way you slice it, and this man faces the death penalty, likely, any way you slice it.”
