Kristol: Trump’s Instincts Will Be To Cut a Deal and Sell Out the GOP

KRISTOL: "I think Mika may be on to something. Why did they produce that document that’s like a campaign document on immigration? Why did they scurry to have other people join the meeting the other day when it was going to be with Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin and they were going to work out a deal on the DREAMers? Because they're scared that Trump wants to actually win. Trump wants to win and winning would be, 'Hey, this chaos, these guys in Washington, it’s a swamp, McConnell, Schumer, those guys can’t do anything. I came in and saved the day.' I think Trump’s instincts probably will be to cut a deal and end it dramatically, he’ll cancel his flight to Mar-a-Lago at 4:00 P.M., he'll summon them to the White House at 10:00 tonight. If I were a hawkish White House aide on immigration, I'd be nervous that Trump actually will actually sell them out and vote for some version of that deal."
