Bob Woodward: The State of the Clinton Marriage Deserves Media Scrutiny

‘It’s not something that goes on and has no impact on the people involved ... what’s the real state of this marriage?’

Woodward: ‘State of’ Clinton Marriage Deserves Media Scrutiny (Washington Free Beacon)

Esteemed journalist Bob Woodward has said Bill and Hillary Clinton’s marriage may be in trouble and that their union deserves media scrutiny.

While speaking with PBS’ Evan Smith, Woodward urged journalists to dive into the “state of their marriage,” because if Hillary becomes president the American people will be getting a “two-for-one special.”

“Hillary and Bill Clinton—big issue—what is the nature of that marriage and that relationship?” Woodward asked. ”It’s not something that goes on and has no impact on the people.”

Woodward underscored the impact marriages have on politics referencing former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s corruption trial. “The message from that trial was the state of the marriage matters in politics,” he said.
