Tapper: Trump Trying To Stop Release of White House Tell-All Because It ‘Hurts His Feelings’ (Mediaite)

Following the public release of excerpts from Michael Wolff’supcoming tell-all on Trump World that featured provocative comments from ex-White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, among others, an attorney for President Donald Trump fired off cease-and-desist orders to Bannon, Wolff and Wolff’s publisher. The letter shows that Trump is threatening to bring a defamation lawsuit over the book.

It appears the publisher is not that concerned about the letter or potential lawsuit, as it was announced today that the release of the book would be moved up to Friday. (It was supposed to come out on Tuesday, January 9.) In the wake of that announcement, CNN’s Jake Tapper devoted his opening monologue this afternoon to Trump’s attempt to block the book.
