Chris Wallace: ‘It’s Not Crazy’ for Trump To Be ‘Concerned’ About FBI Bias (Mediaite)

“There is the old saying that even hypochondriacs get sick,” said Chris Wallace on Friday’s edition of Shepard Smith Reporting.

And Wallace, the anchor of Fox News Sunday, thinks that President Donald Trump‘s constant fear that the FBI is out to get him might well be justified — thanks to a new development reported this week.

Speaking with Shepard Smith, Wallace said the case of an FBI agent being taken off of Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe for calling Trump an “idiot” in text messages gives Trump ample reason to fear that some at the upper levels of the Bureau have it out for him.

“It’s not crazy for President Trump to be concerned by the bias that is being shown by some members of the FBI at the top levels,” Wallace said.

The agent who was pulled from the Mueller probe, Peter Strzok, exchanged anti-Trump messages with Lisa Page — who also was previously on Mueller’s team.

“God Trump is a loathsome human….omg he’s an idiot,” Page wrote to Strzok.

“He’s awful,” Strzok responded.

Wallace believes Trump is right to see this is as a red flag in the special counsel’s probe.

“I’ve got to say, if I was being investigated and I found out that people who were investigating me or sending tweets back and forth, saying what a terrible person I was…there may well be that there was something there,” Wallace said.
