Marie Harf Defends Obama Admin Unmasking Flynn: ‘If He Had Done Nothing Wrong, It Wouldn’t Have Mattered’

HARF: "I’m happy to have that conversation. There were Russian officials that were actively being monitored by the administration I worked for, by Republican and Democratic administrations for many decades. So if Mike Flynn got picked up incidentally as Catherine Herridge talked about earlier, if he got picked up talking to a Russian official, that is perfectly legal and I would argue appropriate. Now, if he had done nothing wrong, it wouldn’t have mattered that he was unmasked, right?" 
HEMMER: "If it were incidental." 
HARF: "Exactly. And every indication is that this collection was. We’ve seen no evidence that it was anything but incidental. I’m happy to have that conversation though, Bill, it’s an important one."
