Home Depot Founder: This Tax Bill Will Increase the Tax Collected and Bring Jobs Back to the U.S.

MARCUS: "It was so good to get it out of committee. That was the first hurdle, and I think I’m a look, both of these senators that you talk to today, Collins and Johnson and corker. They really have some concerns that this bill is not a perfect bill, but we have to get a bill done. This bill is good enough at the time, and they have to support it. In my career as a seal of Home Depot, there are so many deals we have to make. There’s one in particular that had to go deal with going into Canada. It was not a good deal. Ultimately, I knew going into it would be very important for us. We swallowed our pride and we compromise is much as we could. We took the deal, and it turned out to be a gold mine forHome Depot. I am just saying, you have to compromise and you don’t always get what you want, but remember, if this happens and is so important to understand. If this tax bill does what we all believe it will do, and that is without a question, it will increase taxes that are collected in the United States. It will bring jobs back to America. If it can bring the gdp from the three two 4%, maybe 5%, look at all the wealth that will be created."
