GEIST: "Mr. Mayor, you know, you've already heard this but this will be amped up now since you are now two-term mayor of New York City. There are people who are going to want you to run for president in 2020."
DE BLASIO: "Willie, that’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said to me."
GEIST: "No, I’m not saying, it's the people I’ve spoken to, but it’s going to be a free-for-all, there will be all kinds of people who will want to come in and run against Donald Trump. I understand you’re 36 hours away from your re-election, but is that something you would consider if the party came to you and said, 'We think you’re the guy who could take out Donald Trump,' would you consider running for higher office?"
DE BLASIO: "My focus is New York City, Willie. I’ve got four years and it’s going to be four years of intense urgent action to do everything I want to do in this city. That’s what I’m here to do."
