TUR: “Governor — “
McAULIFFE: “That’s the message.”
TUR: “Sorry, you’re out of office in a few short months. So when are you going to announce for 2020, to run for president?”
McAULIFFE: “Well, as I said the other day to you, Katy, I want to finish here strong. I leave on January 13th. I’m going to work on the redistricting. I’m going to work to help elect 36 governors. I’ll be traveling the country extensively next year helping all of these races that are going on, I will be very visible doing that. I’m looking forward doing it and spending a little time with the five children and my beautiful wife of 29 years.”
TUR: “That is not a ‘No.’ That’s not a ‘No, I’m not running.’ I’ll take it and leave it there because my producer is yelling in my year. Governor McAuliffe, thanks for keeping your word to come back on Wednesday.”
