Chaffetz on Sessions Not Going After Uranium One: ‘The Deep State Is Very Real’

‘I think the attorney general is having to deal with that’

EXCERPT:

CHAFFETZ: "You're going to have people like Darrell Issa, why are we still trying to get fast and furious documents? We thought when there is a Republican president all of this would all open. Why are you not prosecuting Lois Learner? Everything that happened with the IRS and the IRS apologized and supposedly there is a monetary payment."
SMITH: "What's the answer to those question?"
CHAFFETZ: "I don't know. And I'll tell you, I went to the White House, I went to the Department of Justice, I sat with the attorney general for more than an hour and I was still mystified. I thought the treasure trove of documents would start to flow. Absolutely not the case. The deep state is very real. I think the attorney general is having to deal with that."
