Robert Gibbs: Obama’s ISIS Strategy Admission Was a ‘Wince-able Moment’

‘Unfortunaely ... there’s no one to tell you fasten your seatbelt because there’s turbulence in the area’

Fmr WH Advisor: Obama’s ISIL Admission A ‘Wince-able’ Moment (Washington Free Beacon)

Even President Obama’s former advisors admitted the president’s gaffe last week caused heartburn throughout the White House.

Former WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs appeared on Morning Joe Tuesday and when asked by Joe Scarborough as to how press shops react to when the president publicly blunders in a nice, tidy sound bite.

“I think whenever you have to go out next and say what somebody meant to say or what somebody was trying to say means you’re trying to explain that wince-able moment that you see,” Gibbs said. “Unfortunately, there are not oxygen masks and there’s no one to tell you fasten your seat belt because there is turbulence in the area.”

“Wince-able” has been submitted to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary for consideration for 2014’s “word of the year.”
