ALEXANDER: "Yeah, Mika, that’s right, the president this morning, as you know, trying to erase questions about whether his administration might seek to limit those pretax contributions to 401(k) plans down to $2,400, right now it's about $18,000 for most workers. The president tweeting this morning, 'There will be no change to your 401(k). This has always been a great and popular middle class tax break that works, and it stays!' It had been rumored for months as a way to try to offset proposed individual and corporate tax cuts. On the issue of taxes, as you just know, the president trying to give Republicans this warning, if they don’t pass tax cuts, they will lose next year. This was0 a Sunday strategy session.
