Michael Duffy: The Split in the Dem Party Hillary Wrote About Continues

‘That split in the party she wrote about continues’

EXCERPT:

DUFFY: "A lot of the attention was focused on what she thought Bernie Sanders had done to her or done to the party or changed it. But I -- I think what’s past is prologue, Mika. I think we’re going to see some of the very same things take place as they roll into 2018 and 2020. And even this week or this month -- you know, a lot of people have criticized Sanders for stepping up in the last five or ten days and coming up with the Medicare for all bill, the sort of, you know, one-single-payer thing. And some people criticized Sanders not only for doing that, but for doing at a time that would give a lift to the Graham-Cassidy measure, which of course is going to probably get voted on next week; that that sort of reteed up the whole health care debate when as Obama said, you know, I thought it was done; it's only been 50 or 60 times that they've tried to kill it. This looks like it might have a good shot of passing. And some Democrats blame Sanders for putting -- helping to put that back on the table. So that split in the party she wrote about continues."
