‘The View’: ‘How Do You Go About Destroying a Country with 25 Million People in It? That’s a War Crime’

‘I think he wasn’t only talking about defensive action but he left open the possibility of preventative action against North Korea’

EXCERPT:

HOSTIN: “But I wonder if his remarks were scripted. I mean —“
HAINES: “It looked scripted to me.”
HOSTIN: “They looked scripted to me and it looked as if rocket man, that term about Kim Jong-un, was scripted. What was terrifying to me is I think he wasn’t only talking about defensive action but he left open the possibility of preventative action against North Korea. So how do you go about destroying a country with 25 million people in it? That’s a war crime.”
BEHAR: “If you destroy North Korea, you destroy South Korea and Japan and possibly fallout into China and what have you. So, there’s no way that can happen. It’s not going to happen.”
HOSTIN: “I don’t know. Is he talking about a nuclear option?”
BEHAR: “JFK was in a similar position. Everybody’s who’s old enough to remember or if you read about the Cuban missile crisis, he talked like that and then they made a deal behind the scenes.”
